• Storage Proximity: Build Storehouses close to the Marketplace to cut down on the distance stall owners have to travel to get fuel.

Family Needs and Stall Availability:

• Working Families: Ensuring the well-being of working families through adequate housing and citizen’s satisfaction. Working families run the stables, therefore their presence is essential.
• Automatic Stalls: Market stalls are established automatically by working families who have products to offer. If there is a need for a fuel stall and a space permit, families set up fuel stalls.

• Logistics Buildings: Improve the overall logistics and flow of resources within the town by modernizing the Town Hall & Warehouses.

• Unlocking Charcoal Burning: To set up the charcoal kilns, you must first get the charcoal burning development upgrade from the development menu.

How to Get Fuel in Manor Lords?

Building a Woodcutter’s Lodge:

• Key Structure: A Woodcutter’s Lodge can be built from the Construction menu under the Gathering tab. It is necessary for fuel production and only costs 1 Timber to construct.

Assigning Workers:

• Location Selection: Position the Woodcutter’s Lodge in a wooded area for easy access to the trees that provide wood for the fireplace.

• Charcoal Burning Development: As you progress in the game, you will reach the development point for charcoal burning. Once you do this, you will be able to set up the charcoal kilns. The charcoal kilns convert one firewood into two charcoal, doubling the fuel output.

Alternative Fuel Source (In Emergencies):

• Trade Route Setup: If there is a temporary fuel shortage, set up a Trade Route to buy firewood from nearby villages. However, setting up and running a Woodcutter’s Lodge for sustainable timber production is usually better.

How to Use Fuel in Manor Lords?

Setting up a Marketplace:

• Create a Marketplace in your settlement. 
•  Villagers will automatically build a firewood stall in the Marketplace so that fuel is distributed equitably.
• Larger settlements need more firewood stands so that villagers don’t suffer from cold and die due to a lack of fuel availability.
• A reliable fuel stall supply system is necessary for upgrading to the Burgage Plot Level 2 and Level 3.

Upgrading Your Burgage Plot and Levels:

• Ensuring the continued operation of your production buildings:
  • Various production buildings such as Bloomery, Smithy, Clay Furnace, Malthouse, and Manor rely on fuel to continue operating.
  • These buildings need to be serviced every month to maintain production. If they are not serviced, production will stop.
  • If you are not producing new items, consider stopping production in these buildings to conserve fuel.
