Titanic director James Cameron has made 33 dives down to the ship over the past few decades, so he’s now speaking out on the tragic deaths of five passengers who were killed during the “catastrophic implosion” of OceanGate’s Titan sub. Speaking to ABC News, he said, “I’m struck by the similarity of the Titanic disaster itself, where the captain was repeatedly warned about ice ahead of his ship and yet he steamed at full speed into an ice field.”
