Following the end of “The Vampire Diaries,” Nina Dobrev, one of the series’ former stars, became one of many women in Hollywood facing ongoing plastic surgery allegations. Fans saw noticeable changes on the actress’s face on the show’s last episode and have since speculated on what changed.
In 2020, a Reddit user penned a brief reflection about Nina Dobrev’s facial appearance on her last episode of “The Vampire Diaries.” The user recalled how numerous people said they noticed visible differences on the actress’s face at the time.
This person initially attributed the actress’s facial changes to smoking, weight loss, aging, a “bad wig,” and “bad eyebrows,” but admitted they couldn’t put their finger on it. Eventually, they learned of her alleged plastic surgery and “finally understood.”

The Reddit user noted that Dobrev’s eyelids had grown in size, and so had her eyes. They also quoted someone else’s comment about Dobrev’s facial appearance, “Someone commented ‘nina went from sexy mysterious eyes to dead soulless eyes’ and I couldn’t agree more. (sic)”

When rumors of Dobrev’s alleged plastic surgery arose, many were disappointed to learn she had changed her looks to such a degree. One Twitter user wrote, “Nina Dobrev was beautiful. Why did she had to get herself plastic surgery?”
Another felt she never needed plastic surgery, saying, “I really don’t understand why Nina Dobrev had plastic surgery or whatever she did to herself. She was absolutely gorgeous to begin with.”

One Twitter user wrote, “If I had a chance to do plastic surgery I would choose Nina Dobrev’s face to copy,” while another said, “what kind of plastic surgeon do i need to hire to look like nina dobrev? (sic)”

A YouTuber Claimed Nina Dobrev Invested Approximately $45K in Plastic Surgery
Intending to lift “the veil of secrecy” and destigmatize plastic surgery, she argued that Dobrev invested $45,000 in rhinoplasty, a brow lift, cheek implants, a chin wing implant, and a lower blepharoplasty. Still, the actress has yet to respond to the allegations.
