Paris Hilton, along with Kim Petras, updated their hit Stars Are Blind.
The collaboration, titled Stars Are Blind: Paris’ Version, was released on June 1, almost 17 years after the original hit in June 2006.
Simple Life alumni took to Instagram to promote the song. She wrote, “So excited to share that my new version of Stars Are Blind featuring my sister and dear friend @KimPetras is now available on all streaming platforms.”
She continued, “Ever since Kim sang this song at my wedding, I just knew we needed to record the official version with her. What do you guys think?!”
In 2022, Kim praised Paris, who was featured in the 2017 music video for her debut single I Don’t Want It All, during a chat with In The Know by Yahoo.
“She just supported me. I mean that music video she was in? I didn’t really have a budget, so her agreement to be in it was amazing,” she said. “I didn’t have a following and I didn’t have a proof of concept. I just released a single and she’s been like a fairy godmother to me ever since.”
The German singer is best known for being featured on Sam Smith’s hit Unholy, for which they won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group earlier this year. Kim is the first openly transgender artist to win a Grammy in the highest category.
Paris is set to perform a new version of her song at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on June 7th.
