Prince Harry was late for his first meeting with Meghan Markle and she almost left without waiting for him. This is clear from the documentary series “Harry and Meghan”, released on the Netflix platform.
Harry and Meghan met on social media, exchanged phone numbers and talked a lot, but met a few weeks later when Meghan traveled to London. According to her, she arrives at the restaurant at the appointed time, and Harry does not appear for a long time.
“He was just texting. “I’m stuck in traffic, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know him then and I thought:
“Okay then? That’s not the way it’s going to be. I’m not going to sit here and wait…” she recalled.
Because of the delay, Meghan Markle thought that Prince Harry thought too highly of himself.
“I wasn’t interested in that at all,” she explains.
Meanwhile, Harry was really in a hurry and worried.
“And then I walked into the restaurant, all sweaty and red,” he recalled.
According to them, the rest of the meeting went smoothly.
The first episodes of the documentary series “Harry and Meghan” were released on the video service Netflix on December 8. The two talk about their meetings, about the relationship of the American actress with the royal family and the press after the engagement, as well as about the childhood and youth of the two.
The series features previously unpublished video and photographic footage. The second part of “Harry and Meghan” is expected to be released in a week.
The creator of the series is American documentary filmmaker Liz Garbus, who has been nominated twice for the Oscar. According to the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan could receive up to $100 million for their appearances in the episodes.
