WHO IS EBRU CEYLAN?

Ebru Ceylan, one of the co-authors of the 2014 Palme d’Or winner Winter Sleep, was born in Ankara. He started taking photographs at a young age and participated in various personal and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She studied cinema at university in Istanbul. His first short film, On the Shore, was selected for the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Competition in 1998.

He worked as an actor and art director in Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s first films such as Uzak (2002) and Climates (2006). Üç Maymun (Best Director Award 2008), Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (Grand Prize 2011), Winter Sleep (Golden). He is the co-writer of the films Palmiye (2014), Wild Pear Tree (2018) and About Dry Herbs (2023). He also writes stories and articles in various literary and art magazines; He continues his work on film, photography and video art.
