The murders of Vanja Gorčevska (14) from Skopje and Panče Žežovski (74) from Veles in recent days shake the entire region. The gruesome details of these two crimes, which are somewhat connected, continue to emerge. Namely, they “share” almost all the suspects, and Žežovski’s car was used to kidnap little Vanja…
So far, four people have been sent to custody, while the main suspect in both murders is still being sought.
All the suspects are men, two are from Veles, two from Skopje and one from Štip. All five are suspected of kidnapping and murder. What they all have in common is that they have two children and that they have not been convicted so far. Some of them were sympathizers of the character and deeds of Ljupča Palevski Palčathe main suspect of having organized and carried out the murder of little Vanja, as well as the murder of Žežovski.
The investigation of both cases is extensive and complicated, and many details that were discovered during the investigation were not known even to the suspects.
Who are the suspects and what do we know about them?
One of the suspects is Velibor Manev from Veles (53). He is a family man, the father of two adult children. So far, he has not been convicted or prosecuted. In recent months, he became known among Skopje residents, because he collected signatures for a petition against the name change of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, writes Skopje1.
He was on social networks an ardent supporter of Ljupča Palevski, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murders of Vanja and Panče. Until his arrest on Saturday, Velibor shared posts on the social network “Facebook”, mainly videos of Palevsky, published on the profile of “Partija Desna”, the political entity in which the two were active. Judging by the announcements, the two planned to celebrate the party’s anniversary on December 12.
Bore Videvski
Bore Videvski is also from Veles, and is the father of two grown children. He practiced martial arts, and on his Facebook profile it says – President and chief instructor at Okikukai Uechi riu Macedonia – Hombu Dojo.
The profile is filled with photos of him with the kids he’s coached.
As “Skoplje1” reports, he was an employee of a public company in Veles. He has no criminal record in Macedonian courts. Videvski, unlike Keshishev and Manev, he did not post press releases from the “Desna” party, but there are joint photos with his fellow citizen. Together with Manev, he was at the stand where they collected signatures so that the name of the MPC would not be changed.
Palch’s “chef”
Vlatko Kešishev from Štip is 64 years old and known to the public as Palč’s “chef”. He is the father of two adult children, one of whom shares posts and pictures of Thumb on social networks.
According to the locals, Keshishev is divorced, and just one day after he was detained, his Facebook profile was shut down. However, as Skopje1 writes, while he was still active online, Keshishev visited the “Desna” headquarters, where Palco recorded podcasts.
On his account there were also photos next to the ying-yang symbol, photos from the kitchen, with the Macedonian flag, but also a photo with a phantom and a sword. He often held three fingers of his left hand together in photographs.
Aleksandar Gorcevski
Vanja’s father Aleksandar is from Skopje and is 51 years old. Vanjina’s mother Zorica previously told the media that they have two children and that they are divorced. She also stated that Aleksandar does not have profiles on social networks, because he was protecting his privacy.
He was never convicted, they knew him superficially in the Debar Malo settlement, where he lived for many years. Although he does not have a photograph as the other person, the investigation showed that he knew Palcha, to whom it is suspected that he gave information about the time and path of Vanya’s movement, and that information helped her to be kidnapped and killed.
Runaway Lyupcho
Unlike the other suspects, Ljupčo Palevski Palčo is an old acquaintance of the police and prosecution.
He is the father of one child.
Velibor Manev, Bore Videvski and Vlatko Keshishev allegedly told what their roles were in the abduction and murder of Vanja and Panče. It is said that the perpetrator of the murders is Ljupčo Palevski Palčo, who is on the run and who is believed to have organized all the persons. Vanya’s father has so far denied involvement in the crime. However, there is allegedly evidence that he gave the time and place when Vanya would be alone. Let’s remind you, they tied the girl in the entrance, put her in a sleeping bag and took her to the village of Brazda, Čučer Sandevo. She was killed there. An autopsy will determine when exactly she died and whether she was abused.
