This conclusion was reached by scientists from the University of Colorado (USA), who published the results on the institution’s official website.

In their study, they proposed to look at the effect of any biomarkers on neurodegeneration in the hippocampus.

The discovery was prompted by post-mortem examination of the brains of people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

As indicated in the study, foci of inflammation and viral infections from the nose were found in all of them.
