Mpho Sebeng, who was born in December 1, 1992, in Soweto, died early on Sunday, May 5, at the age of 30, in a tragic car accident. Mpho Sebeng confirmed that the star was friends with Rhythm City actor Zola Hashatsi.

At the age of twelve, Mpho’s modest media career took off after a family friend saw him in a play at his elementary school and encouraged him to pursue acting. Mpho made his television debut on “Justice for All” and “Zero Tolerance,” the latter of which went on to win numerous accolades.

In addition, Mpho was cast as Bongane in the screenplay “Bay of Plenty,” he starred in the short film Khandakulu, the television series “Scandal” on ETV, and most notably, he played the role of “Tsietsi” in the biographical drama Winnie, which tells the story of Winnie Mandela’s life. It was in this role that he met box office stars Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard.

Mpho landed his first significant lead role on prime time television with Ring of Lies. His performance was so good that it even got him nominated for a 2018 South African Film & Television Awards category for “Best Male Actor” in a telenovela.

Mpho was a hardworking family man who was willing to do anything for anyone, but he was also a big ejit and a loving person at heart, as anyone who knew him would attest.

Everyone who knew him will always hold a particular place in their hearts for him.
