On Sunday, May 5, 2024, a church service in Pennsylvania came to an abrupt and terrifying end, according to the authorities. The pastor was allegedly pulled over by a man brandishing a gun during his sermon, but the gun did not discharge.

Shortly after, the suspect was tackled and had his gun confiscated.

The Pennsylvania State Police report that the incident occurred at Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, just after 1:00 p.m. ET.

Police have identified the suspected gunman as 26-year-old Bernard Junior Polite. They say that after entering the church, the pastor, Glenn Germany, made an attempt to shoot him while he was preaching live on a live stream.

Glenn was taken aback when the unthinkable happened. Pastor Germany described the situation as surreal, but video footage showed him facing a gun pointed at him. By some miracle, the gun broke, sparing no one from injury.
