Professional Soccer Player. He played as an outside right for Swansea Town and Tottenham Hotspur. Born in Swansea, Wales, he went on to make 30 appearances for the Wales national team, scoring six goals in his international career. His talent was evident from a young age, as he captained the Swansea Schoolboys team and later went on to represent his country in the 1958 FIFA World Cup. Medwin began his professional career at his hometown club, Swansea Town, where he made 147 appearances in the Football League. In 1956, he transferred to Tottenham Hotspur for £25,000, where he played until 1963. At Spurs, Medwin had a successful spell, scoring 72 goals in 215 matches and helping the club achieve the Double in the 1960–61 season. He also played in the victorious 1962 FA Cup Final. However, an injury during a tour of South Africa in 1963 ended his playing career. After retiring from playing, Medwin managed Cheshunt and later took up coaching roles at various clubs, including Cardiff City, Fulham, and Norwich City. He also worked as an assistant manager to John Toshack at Swansea. In 1971, Medwin served as a trainer for a Wales XI side that toured Asia and Oceania.
