An alternative to this method is to warm the seeds in water at a temperature of 50 degrees for 15 minutes.

Treatment with Sporobacterin will help. To prepare a solution, you need to take 10 grams of it and dilute it in 10 liters of water.

Soil preparation

In autumn, when the soil is digged, organic matter must be added. You need to close it up to a depth of 20-25 cm. At the same time, you need to add phosphorus and potassium preparations. For 1 square meter you will need 30 grams of superphosphate, 15 grams of potassium sulfate and 15 grams of urea.

You can’t just add manure before planting, because it will spoil the carrots: it will quickly deteriorate, its taste will be bitter.

Planting carrots

Furrows should be made in the garden, seeds should be placed at a depth of up to 3 cm. The distance between them should be 5 cm. If you place them more often, then after germination, you will need to resort to thinning. After planting, the bed needs to be watered, covered with a spunbond.

In the future, caring for carrots on sandy soil will include watering, fertilizing, loosening, prevention and treatment of diseases, and pest control.
