Belarus’ industrial enterprises plan to make Br27bn worth of products in 2023

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – According to the approved business plans, enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry of Belarus are projected to produce industrial goods worth over Br27 billion in 2023. The physical volume index is planned to reach 105%, the profitability of sales – 7.5%, First Deputy Industry Minister Aleksandr Ogorodnikov said in an interview to the Economy of Belarus magazine, BelTA has learned.

In his words, the industrial sector will continue to reduce costs and improve product quality. Here, plans are in place to introduce modern systems of production management and sales of products, and to promote resource-efficient equipment and manufacturing processes.

“The strategy for the development of industrial production provides for its transformation into a competitive complex, promptly responding to the global conjuncture and the needs of the domestic market,” the first deputy industry minister said.

In accordance with the country’s target plan of social and economic development for 2023, the Industry Ministry organizations are envisaged to implement the set targets for the production and export of goods in natural units, Aleksandr Ogorodnikov said.
