MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decrees on 30 March to enact personnel decisions concerning the Armed Forces, BelTA has learned.

Colonel Vladimir Bely was appointed Commander of the Western Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Belarus. He was relieved of his duties as Chief of the General Staff Faculty, Deputy Chief of the educational institution Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.

Major-General Igor Demidenko, who has been the commander up till now, was relieved of his duties and left at the disposal of the Belarusian defense minister till 9 May 2023.
