MOSCOW, 29 March (BelTA) – The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have reached a consensus on some unsettled provisions of the agreement on a common gas market, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission following the meeting of the Council of Heads of Authorized Energy Authorities.

“Arzybek Kozhoshev, a member of the Board (Minister) on Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECC), and the heads of the EAEU authorized energy authorities considered the formation of a common gas market of the Union, taking into account the discussion of the draft document by the heads of government at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in February 2023. The participants of the meeting exchanged their opinions on matters of principle. Along with that, the the heads of the authorized energy authorities focused their attention on the remaining unregulated provisions of the international gas agreement. The parties managed to reach a consensus on a number of issues during the discussion,” the press service said.

“The parties expressed their intention to continue cooperation in order to find compromise solutions to the current disagreements in the developed documents and outlined further steps for their implementation,” the EEC added.
