First Belarusian-Russian harvester assembly site now operational in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory

GOMEL, 29 March (BelTA) – The first Belarusian-Russian manufacturing site for assembling harvesters and reapers has been commissioned in Krasnodar Territory, BelTA learned from the official Telegram channel of the Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer OAO Gomselmash.

The harvester plant Kuban based in Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar Territory and the Belarusian mechanical engineering holding company Gomselmash teamed up as part of the project. Gomselmash Director General Aleksandr Novikov, Director of OAO Gomel Casting and Normal Plant (GZLiN) Andrei Kuznetsov, Acting Director General of AO Bryanskselmash Andrei Shilin, Krasnodar Territory Vice Governor Andrei Korobka, and Industrial Policy Minister Dmitry Khmelko took part in the ceremony of opening OOO Harvester Plant Kuban.

According to the Krasnodar Territory Agriculture and Processing Industry Ministry, the new enterprise is supposed to assemble about 100 units of agricultural machines by the end of 2023. Russian colleagues mentioned the high competitive ability of Gomselmash products in comparison with imports. Apart from that, roadmaps on future cooperation for the next four years also envisage the creation of another manufacturing shop and a warehouse in the Russian region. It is also important to commission an aftersales service center with mobile repair crews in the region.
