MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – It is important for the transport industry to satisfy all needs of enterprises. Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko made the statement as he opened the international conference on the development of railway logistics in 2023, BelTA has learned.

The conference was organized by Belarusian Railways with assistance of the Transport and Communications Ministry. According to Aleksei Avramenko, this meeting is geared towards discussing and finding additional opportunities for the organization of transportation. “Considerable changes happened in the structure of international shipment in the last few years. The massive challenges we’ve had to deal with necessitated the transformation of logistics. In 2022 we worked together with exporters to create the legal base to enable international freight transportation. In particular, intergovernmental agreements were signed to enable conditions for the organization of transportation. At the same time today it is also necessary to tackle the tasks concerning the development of railway and port infrastructure as well as the relevant reconciliation matters. Using the international transport corridor North-South in the direction of Iran and India while using ports in the Caspian Sea is a topical matter,” the official remarked.
