What to plant “at the feet” of cucumbers in order to harvest a decent harvest: the neighbors will gasp

Оther news

Many summer residents use a greenhouse to grow cucumbers.

At the same time, if you want to save space and get an early harvest of not only greens, but also other crops, joint plantings will come to the rescue.

In order for the plants that are destined to become neighbors to be pleased with the yield, their choice should be approached wisely.

For example, in the case of cucumbers, “bonus” crops should love light fertile soil, high humidity, abundant watering, long daylight hours, and air temperature in the range from +25 to +30 degrees.

These requirements are met by such a vegetable as white cabbage, as well as Beijing cabbage.

Another “faithful friend” of juicy and crisp greens is legumes that release nitrogen into the soil, so do not be lazy and place peas around the perimeter of the cucumber beds in the greenhouse.

By the way, after harvesting, the roots of plants do not have to be removed from the soil – leaving it will only improve its fertility.

The third crop that will not refuse to grow in a greenhouse next to cucumbers is zucchini, but they should be planted at a sufficient distance, choosing cucumber hybrids for planting.
