The club said in a press statement, “The largest number of arrests targeting workers after October 7 (when Palestinian factions attacked settlements adjacent to Gaza) targeted workers from our people in Gaza, who were present to work in the territories occupied in 1948.”

He added: “According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Labor, the number of workers from Gaza who were present in the territories occupied in 1948 before October 7 reached approximately 10,300 Palestinian workers at that time.”

Regarding the fate of this number of workers, the club stated that “3,200 of them were released at the Kerem Shalom crossing at the beginning of November 2023, and some of them were still wearing plastic tags on their wrists bearing numbers, and they were released from the detention centers in which they were held.” are detained there.”

He pointed out that “about 6,441 other workers were deported to the West Bank governorates.”

He continued: “Nearly 1,000 workers remain missing in light of the ongoing crime of enforced disappearance against Gaza detainees.”

He pointed out that the occupation “refuses to disclose any information about these missing workers, and merely announced the existence of two army camps to hold Gaza detainees, including the Sde Teman camp near the city of Beersheba (south), and the Anatot camp near the city of Jerusalem.”

He added: “But the detention places were not limited to these camps because some of the workers were detained in Ofer Prison (west of Ramallah).”
