Another bumblebee in fishing village: Micky van de Ven demands tons of money from FC Volendam Sport

Van de Ven – after much fanfare – left Volendam for Wolfsburg in the summer of 2021. It earned Volendam a transfer fee of 3.5 million euros, of which 350,000 euros went to Van de Ven. He has now received that money.

During his transfer last summer, Volendam collected 4.5 million euros in resale percentage (12.5 percent). Volendam does not agree with this and believes that only the aforementioned 3.5 million euros is part of the net transfer proceeds.

Settlement

According to The Telegraph the young defender was willing to donate 75,000 euros of the 450,000 euros to the club as a settlement. Volendam chairman Jaap Veerman did not agree to the proposal to pay the remaining amount of 375,000 euros in ten installments. However, Veerman only wanted to settle for 300,000 euros.

Due to the disagreement, Van de Ven now goes to the arbitration committee and Volendam has to go to Zeist again. This happened twice earlier this season around the transfer of Carel Eiting and recently around the dismissals of Matthias Kohler and Wim Jonk. So things remain restless outside the lines in Volendam.
