“I have been very proud to be part of the Dutch handball team for the past twelve years,” says Tess Wester about her decision to quit her international career. On October 2, 2012, the goalkeeper made her debut for the Netherlands against Romania. “This was always with a lot of passion, love and joy for the sport, the team and the fans.”
“After the World Cup last December, the fire no longer burns as it always did. Taking everything into account, I have made the difficult decision to definitively close this chapter by ending my international career.”
