In test builds of Windows 11, available on the Dev and Canary channels (11.2306.28.0 and 11.2306.30.0), appeared updated Paint. One of the main improvements to the application is the function of removing backgrounds from images.
The innovation works literally in one click – you just need to select the background removal function on the left side of the graphics editor toolbar, after which Paint itself will determine the main object and cut out the background.
Microsoft also clarifies that the user can manually select the part of the background that they want to remove. This makes the tool more flexible for complex images.
This feature may be a positive response from Windows users, as similar features in other applications are not as convenient. Canva, for example, only provides background removal with a paywall, while Adobe Express requires you to create an account to do so.
It is also reported that in addition to the new background remover, Microsoft is already testing an image generator based on text description.
