Investigation Update: Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect seen in these newly released images in connection to a recent unarmed robbery in Roxbury. At about 11:45 AM on Sunday, May 28, 2023, an unknown suspect approached an adult female victim outside of a church located at 241 Blue Hill Avenue. The suspect approached and stole a chain from her neck which also had the wedding band of her deceased husband attached to it. The suspect then attempted to steal the victim’s purse but she was able to defend herself until the suspect fled on foot towards Maywood Street.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-twenties with a stocky build, wearing white shirt and denim shorts with a large bruise on his left leg and may walk with a noticeable limp.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.
