LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Madison County man was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to using a four-year-old child to create child pornography.

The investigation into the pornographic material began in May 2022, when Michigan State Police were looking into an individual linked to crimes involving possessing child pornography.

While reviewing evidence in the investigation, authorities found the individual from Michigan was receiving numerous sexually explicit images of the same child from another individual. The Michigan man had been involved in chat conversations involving graphic discussions of children being sexually assaulted.

The investigation ultimately led to the other individual sending images of the minor engaging in the graphic chats being identified as Donald Caudy III of Madison County. A search of his electronic devices showed multiple sexually explicit images of a four-year-old child, which were the same images that were sent to the individual in Michigan.

In an interview, Caudy admitted to creating the sexually explicit images and distributing them in Michigan. He pleaded guilty in February.
