At about 10:45 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Rolando Gala, 41, of Roxbury, for Armed Robbery.
Officers responded to 435 Brookline Avenue for a Bank Robbery and were quickly provided a picture of the suspect. Officers were able to locate a male matching that description in the surrounding area, and placed the suspect into handcuffs without incident. Officers were able to recover $749 in US currency.
Gala was placed under arrest and charged with; Armed Robbery. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was also wanted on outstanding warrants sought out of Suffolk Superior Court for Unarmed Robbery and Roxbury District Court on Charges of Drug Distribution, and Drug Possession.
The suspect had been highlighted on a BPD Most Wanted List and is expected to appear in Roxbury District Court for arraignment.
