A contracted construction worker was injured Thursday afternoon after a fall at a construction site at Fermilab’s campus in Batavia, officials said.
Fermilab firefighters were dispatched immediately around 1:09 p.m. and a medical helicopter took the worker to a nearby trauma center, a Fermilab spokesperson said.
Construction at Fermilab has begun on a new accelerator complex at the facility, according to officials.
Fermilab on Thursday afternoon said no further details of the incident were available.
