Best-selling smartphones 2024 - only iPhone and Samsung in the top - UNIAN War in Ukraine news

Even in difficult times, users prefer smartphones from the premium segment.

The reputable agency Counterpoint Research conducted a market analysis and found out which smartphones were in greatest demand in the first quarter of 2024. The entire top 10 was occupied by Apple and Samsung devices.

Counterpoint research confirms that even in difficult times, users prefer smartphones from the premium segment: 7 out of 10 models on the list cost $600 or more.

Based on the results of the first quarter of 2024, the most popular smartphone on the market is the iPhone 15 Pro Max, while all four iPhone models of 2023 are among the top ten best-selling. Well, the powerful flagship has become an absolute bestseller, despite the starting price tag of $1,199.

The entire top five remained with Apple iPhone, except for 5th place: Samsung S24 Ultra is located here. It is the best-selling Android device of 2024. The high performance is due, in part, to advances in the field of artificial intelligence Galaxy AI. Also in the rating you can find very cheap Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A34.

As can be seen from the top, Chinese smartphones are not represented in the rating.

If nothing changes in Apple’s plans, the iPhone 16 series will be presented in September – there are no more secrets left. At the same time, iOS 18 will be released, which will add artificial intelligence – this will be the largest software update in the history of the iPhone.

Samsung also has many new products planned for 2024. A new generation of foldable smartphones and smartwatches will be released this summer, and the Galaxy Ring, the debut smart ring, is expected to be released in the fall. There is also information that Samsung has prepared the release of two inexpensive smartphones with a flexible display.
