In Israel, the number of victims from an attack by Hamas militants has increased to 700 people.

Israel’s state broadcaster Kan reports that 2,200 people were injured and more than 700 were killed. Among those killed and kidnapped are citizens of the United States, France, Germany and Ukraine.

Family members of the missing are appealing for information as the death toll in Israel continues to rise, Timesofisrael reported.

Three British citizens are either missing or killed, their families said. At the moment, the murder of a French citizen, a 20-year-old IDF soldier, has been confirmed. Several more French citizens are still missing.

Families of Israelis taken hostage by Hamas held a press conference, saying that almost two days had passed since the start of the Hamas attack, but they still had no information about their abducted relatives.

“We demand answers, but not all of them will make us happy. We want to bring home boys, girls, families,” Haaretz quotes one of the participants in the press conference.

A fragment was broadcast on Israel’s Channel 9 in which a woman with tears in her eyes told how her son disappeared. The translator who was translating from Hebrew into Russian burst into tears live.
