Soviet and Russian director and screenwriter Gleb Panfilov died in Moscow. Seven months ago, his wife, actress Inna Churikova, died.

“A misfortune happened. The great director Gleb Anatolyevich Panfilov passed away,” Varshaver said. According to him, the date and time of farewell will be announced later.
Panfilov was hospitalized at the Sklifosovsky Institute with a stroke on May 11. After the director developed pneumonia. He was in a very bad state. He was transferred to a rehabilitation center, and from there to “one of the hospitals in Moscow.”
The other day Varshaver reported that Panfilov feels unwell, but his condition is assessed as satisfactory.
