Owners of the iPhone 14 Pro and even the iPhone 13 Pro should wait for the release of the iPhone 16 – in the 2024 lineup, the update will be more significant.
Every year, Apple introduces a new line of its iPhone smartphones, and every time users face the question: is it worth updating your smartphone now or waiting for the next generation. In the case of the iPhone 15, experts believe that it is better to wait for the iPhone 16.
A recent Phone Arena publication says that owners of the iPhone 14 Pro and even the iPhone 13 Pro should skip the iPhone 15 Pro and wait for the iPhone 16 Pro – in the 2024 line, the update will be more significant.
The iPhone 15 is expected to offer a number of improvements, including thinner screen bezels, slightly improved cameras and longer battery life, and replace Lightning with a USB port. However, these improvements seem minor to those already using the latest iPhones.
Even the new A17 Bionic chipset doesn’t add a noticeable speed boost. At the same time, from those insiders that Phone Arena knows, the iPhone 16 will bring more significant changes, including an updated design and improved cameras.
How will the iPhone 16 Pro differ from the iPhone 15 Pro:
- For the first time since 2020, the diagonal of the screens is expected to increase. So, the screens in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be 6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively.
- The premium iPhone 16 Pro, scheduled for 2024, will have a higher aspect ratio of 19.6:9 versus 19.5:9 on the current iPhone 14 Pro. In other words, the smartphone will become more convenient to hold.
- Both Pro versions of the iPhone 16 will get a periscope module for better lossless optical zoom. In the case of the iPhone 15, it will only get Pro Max (Ultra).
- The iPhone 16 series should also feature the innovative solid/tactile touch buttons that were originally credited to the iPhone 15.
Thus, if your current iPhone still fully meets your needs, it may be worth waiting for the next generation of Apple smartphones, summed up in Phone Arena.
However, there is still a lot of time before the release of the conditional iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max – Apple can change its plans at any time.
In the meantime, there is nothing left before the announcement of the iPhone 15 smartphones – Apple’s September event is scheduled for September 12th. All rumors and leaks point to the most expensive generation of iPhones in history. In particular, the Pro and Pro Max models can go up by $100-$200.
