One of the dead, regiment communications chief Irakli Kotov, has many awards and fought before the full-scale Russian invasion.

Russia continues to publish data about the invaders who died as a result of an attack on a command post in the captured city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. This was reported by the press service of the 331st Parachute Regiment of the city of Kostroma on the social network VKontakte and Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Anataly Stefan “Shtrilits”.

The names of dead officers confirmed on the casualty list include artillery chief Lt. Col. Dmitry Prokopyev and communications chief Captain Irakli Kotov.

As the report says, during his military service in the Airborne Forces, Irakli Kotov rose from squad commander to regiment communications chief.

Attack on the command post in Bakhmut

On April 20, it became known that the Defense Forces attacked the command post of the 331st Parachute Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division of the Russian Armed Forces in occupied Bakhmut from the HIMARS MLRS.

On the same day, Analotiy Stefan reported a preliminary list of the dead, among which were four dead officers. However, over time, the list began to grow, as obituaries of members of this regiment began to appear in Russia. Thus, the list of losses as a result of the attack on the Bakhmut checkpoint is as follows:

  • Regimental Intelligence Chief – Satarin;
  • chief of artillery of the regiment – Dmitry Prokopyev;
  • regiment communications chief – Irakliy Kotov;
  • senior assistant to the regimental chief of staff – Panteleev;
  • Chief of Regiment Intelligence, Senior Lieutenant Satarin Ilya “Bars”;
  • warrant officer Sergei Lobanov.

Let us note that according to information from the SBU, servicemen of the regiment are involved in the massacres of civilians in Bucha, Kyiv region.

Let us recall that it was previously reported that on the night of May 3, Colonel Denis Lapin, who is probably the son of Colonel General Alexander Lapin, was eliminated.
