Russian propagandists were not allowed to attend the press conference of French President Emmanuel Macron as part of the G20 summit in New Delhi. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already announced “French Russophobia” and “racism.”

It is noted that the editor-in-chief of Russia News Ekaterina Nadolskaya tried to “break through” to the event, but the guards did not let her in. The footage released by the Russian media shows that the man fenced off the propagandist and refused to let her through, because of which she began to argue with him.

“Why can’t Russian journalists go to Macron? Why is it impossible? Why only others, not Russian? Is this discrimination?” – Nadolskaya asked.

In turn, the security guard said that he did not know the reasons for her inadmissibility to the event.

“I don’t know why this is impossible for you,” the man replied.

Soon one of the employees of the press service came up and said to Nadolskaya: “You know why.”

It is worth noting that RIA Novosti propagandists also complained that they were not allowed to attend the event, citing the fact that the hall was completely full.

The speaker of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has already responded to the scandal. She claimed “racial discrimination” and demanded an apology from Paris. At the same time, she was indignant at the fact that “no one prevented” a France-Presse correspondent from attending a press conference by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the summit.

“We cannot and will not humbly ignore the fact that the vanguard of Western pseudo-democracies, this time in the person of France, has once again set an example of racial discrimination and violations of the fundamental principles of democracy. Not only has Paris launched a real “witch hunt” in its own information space, having virtually destroyed the media presence of Russian broadcasters in their public field and creating unbearable conditions for the work of domestic correspondents. Now they do not hesitate to export such disregard for pluralism of opinions and media rights outside the area of the “collective West.” That is, to the countries and regions to which France I have been reading moral lectures about democracy and freedom of speech for decades. Such a policy, imbued with falsehood, arrogance and a complex of exclusivity, will ultimately work against its proponents. We also consider the incident as a blatant manifestation of racism and aggressive nationalism, since at the heart of the incident is an act of discrimination based on nationality “, Zakharova said.

G20 Summit Declaration – 2023 – top news

The G20 countries agreed on a joint declaration at the summit in New Delhi. They managed to reach agreement on the question of what language to use in the joint statement when mentioning the war in Ukraine.

At the same time, the text of the document was vague and vague, and no one condemned Russia for invading Ukraine, which led to negative consequences in third countries.

In turn, French President Emmanuel Macron assured that the joint declaration in India is not a “diplomatic victory” for the Russian Federation.
