While the internet is filled with diet trends and weight loss fads that promise to shed pounds quickly, health experts say the best and most sustainable path to a healthy body is consistent and healthy habits, especially when it comes to diet. Weight loss coach and blogger Amber Clemens is proof of this, writes She Finds.

Her incredible transformation is said to be a testament to the power of hard work and consistent healthy eating habits. In particular, Clemens talks about the “80-20 rule”, which, according to her, allows you to eat what you like while losing extra pounds.

Amber’s journey began on May 31, 2018, when she joined the gym but didn’t know where to start.

“I started eating smaller meals,” she said in one of her TikTok videos.

Thanks to her determination, perseverance and dedication, Amber’s body has changed dramatically in just a few months. And by the end of 2018, she had lost 160 pounds, that is, 72 kilograms.

“I started sharing my results on social media,” Clemens said.

As she told her readers about her journey, she found not only support, but also new strength in herself.

By January 1, 2020, her story was published in Women’s Health magazine, where she received the status of an inspiration for many. However, despite the challenges and moments of doubt along the way, Amber decided not to stop.

“2021 was about letting go of my smallest self and finding my strongest self. I gained muscle, weight, freedom, confidence,” Amber said.

The most impressive aspect of Amber’s journey is her adherence to the 80-20 rule, which she shares on her TikTok. The point is that 80% of the food you eat should be healthy, and the remaining 20% ​​can be devoted to what gives you pleasure.

“80% of the time I fuel my body with nutritious, macro-balanced foods. The other 20% is just to get everything I want!” – says the woman.

According to Amber, her favorite treats are pizza and ice cream. The blogger believes that over-restriction generally does more harm than good.

“I still eat ice cream regularly. I still eat pizza regularly,” she stressed.

Thanks to the 80-20 rule, a woman achieved success and her goals while enjoying her favorite food.

Previously, experts explained what the 80/10/10 diet is. The concept is known to have gained attention over the past few years due to its promises of weight loss, improved health, and disease prevention.

“The 80/10/10 diet is built around the idea that 80% of calories should come from carbohydrates, primarily raw fruits and vegetables, 10% from protein and 10% from fat. This diet emphasizes whole, unprocessed foods, such as fresh fruits, leafy greens and limited amounts of nuts and seeds,” explained Shubha Ramesh, chief dietitian and nutrition expert at DHEE Hospital.

Scientists also said that success in losing weight is directly related to the frequency of weighing. This experiment was conducted by a team of researchers from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida (USA), which observed 74 study participants who completed a 3-month weight loss program.
