In Ukraine, two men from Kharkov were convicted of draft evasion. The press service of the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office shared the details on April 30.
Two Kharkov residents, aged 35 and 28 years old, were declared fit for service by the military medical commission (MMC) in January. Then they were given “combat orders” with a summons for January and February. However, the TCC did not receive conscripts on the appointed dates.
At the trial, both draft dodgers admitted guilt. From the verdict against the Kharkov resident, who received a “combat summons” with a summons for February, it is known that he did not explain his action in any way. At the same time, another man said that he ignored the summons “due to his poor psychological and emotional state, which was caused by the death of his cousin on November 30, 2022.”
The court found the Ukrainians guilty and sentenced them to three years in prison.
