Panic among the Armed Forces of Ukraine - ISW explained Peskov’s words War in Ukraine news

Analysts say Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov baselessly said panic among Ukrainian forces on the front line was growing. This is how he tries to psychologically influence the population of Ukraine.

The Information Resistance warned on April 28 that the Russian occupation authorities would intensify information operations to undermine trust in the Ukrainian authorities and military in the occupied parts of Ukraine. This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War in a report dated April 28.

Information operations of the Russian Federation are aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian military and political leadership, inciting panic among Ukrainians and discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov baselessly stated that panic among Ukrainian forces on the front line is growing, thus he is trying to sow panic among the Ukrainian population.

Peskov’s statement is also likely aimed at artificially exaggerating the success of recent tactical offensives by Russian troops on certain sectors of the front. This message is already addressed to the Russian audience.

On April 28, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova repeated standard Russian narratives about Russian-supported Transnistria. Zakharova continued to falsely portray Russia as the legal guarantor and mediator in the 5+2 negotiations in this conflict. The negotiations involve: Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Transnistria, Moldova and the OSCE as a mediator, as well as the EU and the USA as observers.

Russia is not an impartial external party in the conflict between Moldova and Transnistria and, therefore, cannot be considered a legitimate mediator, according to ISW. The Russian Federation has used and continues to use pro-Russian players in Transnistria for hybrid operations against Moldova.

Let us recall that the United States can transfer more than 80 Soviet fighters purchased from Kazakhstan to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It was also reported that Ukraine is returning to the tactics of the First World War: the Ukrainian Armed Forces shoot down drones on propeller-driven aircraft.
