Ukrzaliznytsia warned about restricting the operation of the Kyiv-Kherson-Kyiv train.

On the morning of May 8, Russia attacked civilian railway infrastructure in Kherson, and as a result of enemy attacks, the city’s tracks and station were damaged. The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reported this.

It is noted that now the movement of train No. 121/122 Kyiv – Kherson – Kyiv has been temporarily limited by railway workers to Nikolaev. From there, passengers will be transported to Kherson and back by buses.

“Now all 99 passengers are safe. The remaining Ukrzaliznytsia trains continue to move according to schedule,” the message says.

Russian attack on May 8 – what is known

On the night of May 8, Russia once again carried out a massive missile and drone attack on Ukrainian cities. In particular, the invaders attacked electricity generation and transmission facilities in Poltava, Kirovograd, Zaporozhye, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia regions. DTEK noted that the enemy fired at three Ukrainian thermal power plants, and equipment was seriously damaged.

The Air Force reported that the invaders used 76 air targets during the attack – 55 missiles and 21 attack drones. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 59 enemy targets.
