Smartphone for music - a Moondrop model with Hi-Fi sound has appeared - UNIAN War in Ukraine news

In terms of characteristics, this is a typical mid-range Android, but still with a couple of unique features.

Chinese audio brand Moondrop presented its first smartphone, MIAD 01. What sets it apart from its competitors is its unusual design and powerful audio system, which can replace the owner’s Hi-Fi music player, writes Android Authority.

A Cirrus Logic MasterHIFI DAC is installed inside, and outside you can plug in not only the usual 3.5 mm jack, but also a balanced 4.4 mm jack to connect premium headphones to your smartphone and fully enjoy the sound. And for sound settings there is a separate application Moondrop Audio Center.

The smartphone looks unusual: a plastic panel with cyberpunk-style inscriptions, two cameras and a flash installed on the rear ledge, and the side buttons are made in orange. However, some may be confused by the massive protrusion at the top of the case, where all the audio components are located.

In terms of characteristics, this is a typical average Android:

  • Display: 6.67″, OLED, 1080p, 120 Hz, PWM 1920 Hz;
  • Processor: 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 7050, Mali-G68MC4;
  • Memory: 12 GB LPDDR4X, 256 GB UFS 2.2, microSD up to 2 TB;
  • Battery: 5000 mAh, fast charging 33 W;
  • Camera: 64 MP (main), 32 MP (front).

The manufacturer promises up to 27 hours of operation for the smartphone on a single charge when playing audio. The device weighs 202 g, and it runs on “pure” Android without any firmware.

In China, Moondrop MIAD 01 costs 2,499 yuan (~13,500 UAH). Sales have already started.

Previously, the “boring phone” Nokia was presented on the market – without social networks and applications, but with a “snake”. It is designed to take users back to a time when smartphones did not yet exist, says the manufacturer.

And if you’re looking for a budget iPhone, experts have named three models that you can safely take in 2024. Older models involve some compromises, but for most ordinary users this will still be enough.
