Russia has created a new group of troops. It is already carrying out combat missions in one of the operational directions.
We are talking about the Sever grouping of troops, which was first mentioned in the report of the Russian Ministry of Defense on April 14. This group of invaders operates in the Belgorod direction.
According to Information Resistance, the North group was created on the basis of the former border cover group (GV Bryansk, GV Kursk and GV Belgorod). It is headed by Colonel General A. Lapin.
At the moment, the following have been transferred to the GV “North”:
- 11th Army Corps (AK), without the 7th separate motorized rifle regiment;
- 138th separate motorized rifle brigade (omsbr) from the 6th combined arms army.
It is likely that the Civil Guard “Sever” will also include certain formations from the 44th AK, most likely the 25th Motorized Rifle Brigade.
Tentatively, GW “North” will consist of:
- up to 46-48 thousand personnel;
- 350-360 tanks;
- up to 860 armored combat vehicles (AFV);
- 940-950 artillery systems (AS), starting with 100 mm caliber and including 120 mm mortars;
- multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 110-120 units;
- up to 4-6 launchers of an operational-tactical missile system.
The situation in the Belgorod region
As UNIAN wrote, during the March raid of the RDK and the Russian Freedom Legion into the border areas of the Belgorod region, the Russian army actively used heavy artillery and aviation. As a result, the Russian village of Kozinka was completely destroyed.
But even after the completion of the raid, Russian aviation continues to bombard the Belgorod region with aerial bombs. But now not on purpose, but as a result of technical failures.
In the border settlements of the Belgorod region, from where local residents were evacuated, looting is flourishing. The Russian military is probably involved in this.
