A number of 20,000 people in the north of Târgu Jiu municipality were left without water due to a damage to a pipeline, according to the representatives of the water and canal operator Aparegio, informs Agerpres.Â
It is about an accident at the DN 600 transport pipeline in Ecaterina Teodoroiu Street in the municipality of Târgu Jiu.
„Aparegio Gorj SA – CED Târgu Jiu announces the interruption of drinking water supply on 07.05.2024, in the time interval 9.00 – 20.00, in the town of Târgu Jiu , the North area of the city, as a result of the damage to the DN 600 transport pipeline in Ecaterina Teodoroiu street. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the users in the area, whom we assure that the intervention personnel dispatched to the scene will do everything possible to remedy the damage in the shortest possible time”, the representatives say Aparegio in a press release.
According to the cited source, when the water supply resumes in normal mode, it is possible that the water at the taps will register higher values of the turbidity parameter.
“We recommend not to use the water for household purposes until it is completely clarified,” the information also states.
