Barlinek Industria Kielce was promoted to the best four of the Champions League handball players. In the rematch in the Legionów Hall, the Polish champions defeated the Hungarian Telekom Veszprem 31:27 after a great game.
A week ago, after a dramatic match, the Polish champion drew with the titled rival in Hungary 29:29. Telekom Veszprem determined the result in the last seconds of the evenly matched match, which foreshadowed huge emotions in the rematch deciding about the promotion to the Final Four of the Champions League.

Strong start of the Polish champions
The beginning of the rematch in Hala Legionów definitely belonged to the hosts. Kielce played sensational in defence. Tomasz Gębala was full of positive energy, Arkadiusz Moryto showed off effective throws, and the rivals scored only two goals in the first ten minutes… both from penalties.
Later, the handball players of Telekom Veszprem accelerated the game. Nedim Remili was dangerous, and the Hungarians also tightened up their defensive actions. However, the Polish champions did not let themselves be knocked out of the rhythm. A perfect change was made by Szymon Sićko, who was able to send a bomb from a distance. Alex Dujshebaev added his goals.
The effect of an almost perfect game was leading Industria Kielce 18:12 until the break. The hosts did not squander this achievement in the second half and for the sixth time in the history of the club they will appear in the Final Four of the Champions League. Unfortunately, the second Polish team in the Champions League failed to do this. Orlen Wisła Płock – a revelation of the prestigious competition – after an even two-legged match, lost by only two goals to the favored Magdeburg.
