In 2023, an administrative fine of 355 million 804 thousand 957 liras was imposed on businesses that were found to have engaged in exorbitant price increases and stockpiling.

At the meeting of the Unfair Price Evaluation Board held on May 2, especially the exorbitant price increases in basic food and necessity products in the markets; Stockpiling actions in the automotive sector, exorbitant price increases in the ready-mixed concrete and cement sector, and sales contrary to bread price tariffs were examined.

MORE THAN 61 MILLION FINE

Thus, a total administrative fine of 61 million 66 thousand 431 liras was imposed on businesses that were determined to engage in exorbitant price increases and hoarding by the Unfair Price Evaluation Board.

MINISTRY: WE WILL CONTINUE TO IMPLEMENT THE MEASURES
