A man threatening his partner was shot dead by the police during the night from Friday to Saturday.
An individual in possession of a bladed weapon died, around 1:30 a.m. on the night of Friday May 3 to Saturday May 4, in Louviers, in Eure, after the intervention of the police, BFMTV learned from a police source.
Alerted to the presence of a violent man with his partner, threatening her with a knife in the street, a police crew went to the scene.
While the woman’s brother tried to intervene, the police issued several summons to the armed man. The latter ended up rushing towards them. One of the police officers then used his weapon, shooting the attacker dead.
An investigation was opened to shed light on the circumstances.
