ATranks are already struggling to manage their work, and across-the-board cuts will make it even worse. This is how economist Filip Pertold from the CERGE-EI Institute comments on the latest proposal by Zbyňek Stanjura (ODS). The Minister of Finance is planning further savings for next year beyond the scope of the already presented consolidation package. Among them are, for example, a five percent reduction in the standard salaries of employees in the public administration or a ten percent cut in research, development and innovation spending. According to Pertold, the ministry did not choose the appropriate path. He would rather oversee more efficient spending of money. It should be the same in healthcare.
