Al-Ahly Aleppo, Al-Wehda, Al-Jaish and Al-Nawair clubs qualified for the semi-final stage of the Republic Cup competition for men.

In the matches of the last round, Al-Jaish defeated Al-Nawa’ir by a large margin, with a score of 52-85 in the match that brought them together on the grounds of Al-Madina Sports Hall in Damascus.

The result of quarters of the match was in favor of the army by 17-24 points, 7-16 points, and 11-26 points.

Al-Jaish was distinguished by its capable offensive performance, relying on shots from outside the arc and a strong defense that prevented the norias from scoring attempts, and narrowed the difference, so that the match ended in their favor, with a difference of 33 points.

In the second meeting, the people of Aleppo achieved a great victory over Al-Wehda, with a score of 87-50 points, amid a large presence of the fans of the two teams, which added to the match elegance and enthusiasm.

The result of all quarters of the match was in favor of Al-Ahly, who was playing comfortably despite ensuring their qualification by 31-9 points, 15-22 points, 14-20 points, and 12-14 points.

Al-Ahly Aleppo player, Mustafa Abu Saada, said in a statement to SANA that the team entered the match with great focus despite its guarantee of qualification, and their eyes aspired to win this match, relying on the collective performance of the team that ended the match with this great victory.

Al-Ahly Aleppo will meet Al-Nawair, and Al-Jaish will meet Al-Wehda in the semi-finals of the tournament.
