An apartment in Zagreb for 'only' 450 euros? Yes, but with the condition: 'The owner will come to spend the night there a couple of times!' World news

The situation on the real estate market, it seems, is getting worse every day. Young people find it difficult to find apartments, the square meters are too expensive, and the rent is not even worth it anymore. The situation is worst in big cities, where a large number of people gravitate, and real estate ads in Zagreb often become the object of ridicule on social networks because of the crazy prices and conditions of landlords.

Among the “funny” ads, there was also one for a two-room apartment in Knežija, and right at the beginning it says that the apartment is rented only for students. The rental price is 450 euros for 60 square meters, which is also a reasonable price. , but…

The ad further states that the apartment is rented exclusively to one person, which is quite surprising when we are talking about a 60-square-meter apartment in which two people could live without any problems. The ad mentions that the advantage of this apartment is the proximity to a pharmacy, shop, market, public transport, schools and kindergartens (although we do not know how these last two items are an advantage if only one person is allowed to live in the apartment and that is a student ). It is also stated that the apartment is ‘pet friendly’.

And then we come to the reason why the rental price is ‘only’ 450 euros. Namely, the owner demands that only one person lives in the apartment because she would come from Split two to three times a year and sleep in the apartment in one of the two rooms.

– She is a teacher and comes only during the holidays, so in most cases you pass by the tenants, but she doesn’t mind if they are in the apartment because she is in the other room for those few days – it is stated in the description of the ad, which is detailed you can look HERE.

At the end, it states that the condition for concluding a lease is a minimum of one year with the payment of a deposit in the amount of one rent, and in addition, the tenant must pay an agency commission of 400 euros. In total, you need 1,300 euros just to get into this apartment that you will have to share with the ‘landlady’ several times a year. Hardly any student has that money available.
