Peacefully with family by her side, the passing of Anne
Keeping nee Ball, age 72 of Montague, devoted wife of the late A. John
Keeping, occurred on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Kings County
Memorial Hospital. Born in Ramea, NL, September 29, 1951,
she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Fanny (Durnford) Ball.
Loving mother of Nancy (Kevin) Keeping of Montague, Jennifer
(Jonathan) Flores of Nepean, ON; cherished grandchildren Amy, Aliya,
Jake, Brent; adored great-grandchildren Vivienne, Damon, Ezra;
siblings Gordon, Lola (Ralph), Edwin, Sarah (Edward), Lucy, Ida (Ken),
sisters-in-law Brenda, Roberta (Todd); special niece Cynthia (Dave),
and many more loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father and
mother-in-law Alvin and Alice, brothers-in-law Fred, Gordon; and
sister-in-law Doreen.
Anne was an avid
volunteer with the Montague Food Bank and the Rotary Club of Montague.
She recently was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for
volunteering and community spirit. She loved spending time with her
family and friends and always enjoyed going for coffee, playing
shuffleboard, bingo, and of course going fishing. She also
loved her yearly trips back to her beloved hometown of Ramea,
Newfoundland.
Anne will always be remembered by
her family both near and far, her close circle of friends, and by all
those who came to know and love her throughout the years.
No visiting by personal request.
Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with live
stream on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Interment to take
place at a later date.
