Another country from the Middle East region has introduced a total ban on investing in cryptocurrencies. The rebellious may face financial penalties or prison sentences.

It is about Kuwait, which introduced such a ban on Monday, July 17.

Recall that restrictions or complete bans on cryptocurrency trading are already in place in 10 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.

According to the law firm Freeman Law, in addition to Kuwait, the list of Muslim countries fighting bitcoin also includes: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Tunisia, Turkey and Morocco.

Thanks to the bans introduced, individual countries want to prevent potential fraud using cryptocurrencies.
