Meanwhile, some affected users have made suggestions for more reliable operation of the alarm. These suggestions include checking the alarm and ringtone settings by going to the “Sounds and Haptics” option in the settings menu and seeing whether the volume is too low or zero. Additionally, to prevent accidental volume changes, a setting can be used that prevents the volume from being changed with the volume buttons on the side of the phone.
Other users think that the problem may be related to the iPhone’s attention detection features. This feature can mute the alarm sound when it detects the face of the owner of the device. However, this may cause the alarm to be silenced if the phone is facing the user while they sleep. To prevent this situation, it is possible to disable this feature from the “Face ID and Passcode” settings.
These solutions may help to temporarily fix the problem, but Apple is expected to find a permanent solution to the problem.
