This Thursday one of the most anticipated films of the summer was released. Thus, the color pink was present in the movie theaters of the country for the film “Barbie”, where the Australian actress Margot Robbie is the protagonist.
For a while several users published on their social networks the outfits they would use to see the live action adaptation of the most famous doll on the planet.
Even on TikTok several trends arose, one consisted of showing the outfits in pink, while part of the song “Barbie Girl” by Aqua played in the background.
The commotion that the film has generated has been such that several Barbie-themed products emerged. In Michoacán, for example, Barbie cakes appeared and in some places they even made pink tortillas with the image of the doll.

On social networks, Internet users reported that in some movie theaters Barbie-themed cups and popcorn were sold out.
On the signs that the employees pasted at the ticket office they put things like: “Notice!, Dear customer, we inform you that we do not have the promotional Barbie glasses. Sorry for the inconvenience” or “Dear customer, we inform you that in our group we no longer have the promotional Barbie glass. We appreciate her understanding and apologize for the inconvenience.”
The foregoing generated the existence of resellers who asked up to a thousand pesos for one of these objects. Although many people took it as a joke, the “Barbie effect” did its thing and more than one movie theater in the country was full.
