In the winter of last year, Alyaksandr Lukashenka was ready to issue an order to attack Ukraine, said Valeriy Sachashczyk, a Belarusian oppositionist and close associate of Sviatlana Tsikhanuska, in an interview with the espreso.tv portal. – At the end of December at the border [białorusko-ukraińskiej – red.] all combat formations of the Belarusian army were there – he said.
Oppositionist: Alyaksandr Lukashenka was ready to attack Ukraine
The Belarusian oppositionist claims that the military began to oppose Alyaksandr Lukashenko’s plans. – The soldiers began to ask the command a lot of questions, why go to Ukraine, why the Ukrainian nation suddenly became our enemy. The Ministry of Defense tried to intimidate the military. The KGB bodies in full force spent almost a week in the army, they blackmailed, threatened, talked to the soldiers – nothing helped – emphasized Valery Sakhaszczyk. – So they reported to the command that the Belarusian army is not ready to conduct hostilities in Ukraine, so the order was not issued – he noted.
Valery Sakhashchik said in an interview with espreso.tv that a Belarusian assault group has appeared within the Ukrainian Armed Forces. – The technical equipment is good, we have been carrying out combat missions for the second month. I think we’re doing quite normally,” he said. – I do not know whether the Belarusian dictator knows about our existence or not. I did my best to keep as little information about us as possible. I think he’ll be “happy” when he finds out about it.” The temporary cabinet of Swiatłana Cichanouska informed that Sakhaszczyk also took part in the fighting.
